Hiley's Bio

Personal Bio –I was born on September 19, 1941 to Paul and Minnie Mahaffey of the Huckleberry community (now Mayo) in South Carolina. I have three brothers Ray, Floyd and Bobby and one sister Oletta.
My family moved to Grambling, SC when I was in the fourth grade. I have worked at various jobs ever since I was six years old. I now work for Spartanburg Regional Hospital Systems and known for my ability to hang wallpaper.
I have one daughter, Angela Lee of Roebuck, SC and a son-in-law Boyce lee and two granddaughters Taylor and Morgan Lee. I am married to the former Joan Taylor.
Several years ago I helped to found a church in this area and was a member there until recently. Last year I asked that my membership be moved to New Horizon Community Church of The Nazarene and I continue to attend and serve there when at home and available. Many times both during the week and weekend we are on the road serving our Lord and sharing the Gospel in other churches. I may not be at my home church but I am in church and worshiping the Lord our Savior Jesus Christ.
I am saved and know that my eternal home awaits me when my trials and work on earth is done.

Music Bio –Although never formerly trained, I’ve had many years of extensive hands on experience with different sound systems in various churches. I love music and being a part of the Gospel that is shared through music. My expertise are in sound systems and not vocal. I came to “2 - R - MORE” Gospel Music Ministries as sort of a package deal. My wife joined the group in January of 2001 and I came along to offer my assistance to run the sound system. Since I had the background and they needed someone to fill this position they offered me the position with open arms.
Some people may wander don’t you ever get tired of hearing the same people sing over and over again. My answer is, not at all. Do Gospel singers and/or musicians get tired of singing and/or playing, over and over again. Not if their heart is in their ministry for the right reason. They may get tired physically as I do but not tired of sharing the Gospel and serving the Lord. I enjoy the talents and gifts of anyone that uses their God given talents and gifts to serve and share His word. This is what I am doing! My talents and gifts that I offer while operating the sound equipment and being a part of this or any Gospel ministry is not any different than singing and/or playing a musical instrument. When it’s the Gospel and I know the Lord through us is blessing people I am happy, willing and blessed to be in God’s service.
